Necklace & Bracelet Length Guide
Lengths are measured end to end, including the clasp. Where a listing gives centimetres, 1 inch is 2.54 cm.
Necklace lengths
| Length | Where it usually sits |
|---|---|
| 14 in / 35 cm | Close around the neck |
| 16 in / 40 cm | At the base of the neck (choker) |
| 18 in / 45 cm | On the collarbone; the most popular length for pendants |
| 20 in / 50 cm | Just below the collarbone |
| 22 in / 55 cm | Above the bust; a common length for men's chains |
| 24 in / 60 cm | At or below the bust; men's chains with a pendant |
Where a necklace sits depends on neck size and build, so treat these as a guide. To check, lay a piece of string around your neck at the length you want and measure it.
Bracelet sizes
- Wrap a soft tape or strip of paper snugly around your wrist, just above the wrist bone.
- Add about 1–2 cm (½–¾ inch) for a comfortable fit, or a little more if you like a looser bracelet.
- Choose the bracelet length closest to that number.
Tennis bracelets fit best close to the wrist, so they need less extra length than a chain bracelet. Available lengths are listed on each product.
